Covid 19 Safety Guidelines

Dear GMSC Members and Families, Thank you to all of the families that attended our Membership Meeting last night via Zoom.  We appreciate your time and attendance.  If you did not attend, below is a summary of what was discussed. 
Tomorrow our pool will open, although not as usual.  Due to COVID19 we will open with the following new procedures/ rules in place to stay safe and compliant with the health department’s regulations and guidelines.    
COVID-19 Changes/Rules

  • New Waiver and Release of Liability document
    • Please print the attached liability waiver
    • MUST be signed by bondholder and returned before entering pool grounds
    • Entrance to the pool will not be allowed unless we have a copy of the signed waiver on file
  • Dues
    • 1st Installment payment is due before member-family can utilize the pool. Members can utilize the pool if their 1st installment dues have been paid or you have made alternate arrangements with our treasurer.
  • New designated entrance and exit
    • Entrance is located by the cabana
    • Exit is located by parking lot/old trash can area
    • Please maintain social distance if you encounter a line at entrance
  • Pool Grounds are broken into 41 new 10ft x 10ft areas, per guidance from State and City officials, with
    • Plenty of walking areas around each section for easy coming and going
    • Large enough for family of 5
    • Some areas have tables/picnic tables associated with them (first come, first serve). Do not move the tables.
    • Please be respectful of neighbor and remember to social distance
    • No saving boxes/squares
  • Lifeguards
    • Lifeguards on duty every day from 11 am – 6 pm
    • Lifeguard room is restricted for lifeguard use only
    • Refrigerator is not to be utilized by member-families 
  • Daily sanitization
    • Tables, restrooms, diving board, handrails sanitized approx. 10:40 am each morning
    • Use of the grounds prior to sanitization is at own risk
  • Lounge Chairs and Table Chairs
    • Stacked next to shed
    • Utilize as desired
    • User is responsible for disinfecting and returning items after use
    • Use pool chairs at your own risk or bring in your own chair
  • Grills areas are marked for social distancing
    • Use at own risk (member is responsible for cleaning grill area after use)
    • One family is allowed to utilize the grill at a time
    • Member-family is responsible for bringing their own cooking utensils
  • Carry In/ Carry Out Policy
    • Due to risk of possible contact exposure, no trash or recycling bins will be provided this season
    • Member-families are responsible to carrying out all items/trash they accumulate
  • Capacity
  • New pool capacity (52)
  • New Grounds capacity (205)
  • First come, first serve
  • No saving spots
  • Cannot guarantee re-entry if capacity is reached after leaving
  • Social distancing markers are present at diving board area and will be strictly enforced
  • No physical contact activities/games will be allowed (chicken, tag, etc..)
  • Guests/Parties
  • No guests allowed until further notice
  • No parties allowed until further notice
  • Gate Monitors
  • On duty Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm
    • COVID related health questions will be asked of members entering pool grounds
    • Responsible for enforcing grounds capacity
      • New Grounds Capacity (205)
      • First come, first serve
      • All members who enter pool grounds are encouraged to stay for duration of their visit to the pool
        • Can not guarantee re-entry if capacity is reached after leaving
        • No saving spots and must be maintained with member
